Julie has made Bartlesville her family’s home since 2003 while raising three children. Julie is originally an Okie from Muskogee and helped with her family farm growing up. Julie’s current pastimes include working out, taking walks with her dog Max, reading, art journaling, traveling and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
Julie’s primary objective in therapy is to help clients recognize their inherent value and understand that resilience and perseverance are essential in effectively navigating life’s inevitable challenges. Her primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Additionally, Julie incorporates elements from various modalities, including Solution-Focused, Client-Centered, Self-Compassion, Positive Psychology, and Growth Mindset. She is also currently pursuing training to become a Registered Play Therapist.
