Sabrina Cothran, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Sabrina Cothran has worked in the field of mental health since 2019. She earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Rogers State University. During her time at RSU, Sabrina became a member of the International Honors Society in Psychology (PSI CHI) and participated in several student organizations, including the Social Justice League and the Criminal Justice Society. 

She then continued her education at the University of Oklahoma, where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work. During her time at OU, Sabrina was inducted into the National Honor Society for Social Work (PHI ALPHA) and graduated as one of the top members of her cohort with a 4.0 GPA. Studying Social Work has allowed Sabrina to expand her knowledge of the systems and policies that influence and impact individual mental health outcomes. 

Sabrina began her mental health career as a Case Manager serving underserved youth in rural Oklahoma. While completing her education, she transitioned into a therapist role, where she continues to work with adolescents, young adults, and adults. Sabrina remains committed to ongoing professional development and is passionate about providing evidence-based, compassionate care that supports her clients’ growth and well-being.

Clients working with Sabrina can expect a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative therapeutic environment.Treatment focuses on identifying challenges, developing effective coping strategies, and improving communication skills to enhance emotional regulation and interpersonal functioning. Sabrina’s goal is to help clients reconnect with their inner strengths, achieve balance amid life’s demands, and facilitate lasting emotional and behavioral change beyond symptom management. 

Sabrina’s clinical approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, accountability, and evidence-based practice. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques, and mindfulness-based interventions to assist clients in understanding their emotions, strengthening coping mechanisms, establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries, and navigating relationships effectively. Sabrina also incorporates Written Exposure Therapy (WET) to support clients in processing trauma in a structured and clinically guided manner.
