Clients who meet with Whitney can expect a compassionate, non-judgmental listening ear. Whitney focuses on working with individuals to help them rise above the issues and that may be preventing them from enjoying life and achieving goals. Whitney uses a solution focused approach based on an individual’s strengths to help clients develop a plan for recovery and healing.
Once treatment goals are in place, Whitney focuses on breaking down the recovery plan into easy steps that can be managed on a day to day basis. Clients who engage fully in treatment and the process can expect to develop healthy habits and new ways of thinking. Sessions are scheduled based on the plan developed and can be weekly, bi-weekly or monthly depending on client needs. The length of therapy is determined by the goals the client has set. Whitney believes this unique approach to counseling can help clients of all ages, with a variety of issues and has seen many benefits of clients setting and achieving goals. Whitney is personally invested in her counseling relationships and feels excited and honored to walk alongside people as they accomplish the things they have dreamed of for a long time. Whitney’s theoretical approach (or how she conceptualizes problems and works to solve them) includes Cognitive-behavioral therapy and Client centered therapy.
